Налоги/сборы в Великобритании в целях социального обеспечения, необходимые для создания фонда общенационального финансирования пособий по безработице и болезни, а также государственных пенсий за выслугу лет. Существует четыре группы выплат:
класс 1 - первичный и вторичный - взносы наемных работников и предпринимателей, соответственно, пропорциональные заработной плате и окладам наемных работников;
класс 2 - еженедельные суммы от мелких предпринимателей, работающих на себя;
класс 3 - добровольные взносы в рамках соблюдения требований по взносам;
класс 4 - дополнительное обложение мелких предпринимателей, работающих на себя, в зависимости от уровня их доходов.
